As soon as I stepped into Michaela Hair Salon, I felt soooo welcomed!
They thought through all the small details to make my experience there perfect. They offer tea or coffee of your choice, have nice trays for your jewellery (if you want to remove them for the treatment), even have a stand for your phone, and my favourite part – a comfy pillow for your arms to rest during the session!
My stylist was Kenta. Very attentive, easygoing, and professional! We discussed all my requests before starting the dye and cut. They use very good products for the scalp, which protects my skin from dye chemicals. They put cream on my skin to prevent colouring it and even have special ear covers. So cute!
Another level of satisfaction was the hair washing and spa session! I relaxed so much that I even fell asleep for a while 🙈
Highly recommended! You will not regret going there. Mid-session, I felt like I didn't even care about the results because the experience was so great!
The result of my hair dyeing and cut was perfect, and my mood is amazing!

It is easy to find any salon, but it is not easy to find one that offers good haircuts, hair color, and hair treatments. I am glad I found Hair Salon Tokyo Michaela by chance and had a beautiful haircut before Chinese New Year.
I enjoyed how professional the staff was in handling my hair, and the thoughtful gestures I experienced were wonderful. Most importantly, Kenta understood my needs during the hair consultation. With his meticulous care in handling my hair, I am looking forward to my next visit.

My daughter had her first hair colour highlights at MICHAELA on the recommendation of my cousin. Endo-san is a professional hair stylist who listened to our concerns and needs, and recommended a nice haircut and colour highlights which suited my daughter very well! 👍 The receptionist attending to us was polite and attentive, and the clean and pleasant salon environment contributed to a very positive experience for us. I recently visited MICHAELA for the first time, following my wife's recommendation of their Kaihuku spa. She suggested I book an appointment with Aya, so I booked a haircut and Kaihuku spa.
The place is clean, cozy, and a truly relaxing environment. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks of our choice, along with a nice handwritten note.
As for my haircut, Aya took the time to understand exactly what I wanted to ensure we were on the same page. The haircut itself was done perfectly and just the way I wanted it. I was very happy with the outcome.
However, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Kaihuku spa experience. As someone who frequently suffers from headaches, I found the spa treatments incredibly soothing. Aya made sure I was comfortable during the entire process, which helped me relax completely—a much-needed reprieve from my everyday stress.
Overall, both my wife and I had an exceptional experience at MICHAELA. We will definitely be returning for more treatments in the future!

MICHAELA is a Japanese hair salon, and this was my first time having my hair done by a Japanese stylist. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed with drinks and thoughtfully prepared snacks. The salon itself is clean, spacious, and very comfortable – I felt completely at ease throughout my visit.
My hair stylist, Kenta-san, was incredibly friendly and attentive. I didn’t have a specific style in mind, but I shared my concerns about not wanting my hair too short or having bangs. He understood exactly what I was looking for and created a style that’s just the right length. He also gave my hair a soft, stylish perm that’s fresh and demure – I’ve never tried this look before and I love it!!
In the past, I’ve often been anxious about my hair not meeting my expectations, but this time was different. From the very first cut, I felt confident it would turn out beautifully – and it did! I feel very confident and natural 😍
Overall, an amazing result with superb service. I’m truly impressed. Thank you so much, MICHAELA, Kenta-san, and the staff! Will definitely come back!

My first visit to Michaela. Booked for a cut and highlight by Kenta-san based on his work on their IG. I always temper my expectations for the first visit, but this cut and colour by Kenta was really good! I appreciated that he cuts my hair before washing so that he can see how my hair naturally falls without styling and can work with it.
Kenta was very patient in listening to all my requirements. I wasn’t the only demanding customer there today. I overheard another lady with equally particular requests (haha), but I must say the stylists took it all in their stride.
I had very specific requests that Kenta managed to fulfill. His additional suggestions and adjustments were also spot on and improved the overall look significantly.
The studio itself was clean and brightly lit with natural light because it has a full-length window facing the road. I think this is important so you can really see how the colour is in your hair! The place also has a nice scent which was not overpowering.
The seats are spaced out nicely so that you don’t feel like you’re too close to anyone else. Only one small thing was that the seats at the hair wash area felt a bit rickety; it rocked when the stylist was massaging my head. But really, that's really nitpicking here.
Like all Japanese hair salons, service is impeccable. The fruit tea they offer on the menu is delicious! They are all more than competent in English, and communication is not a problem.
I have always gone to Japanese stylists for the past 10 years or so but had to find a new stylist since my regular one went back to Japan permanently. Super impressed with how the cut and colour with Kenta turned out. Looks like I’ve found my new regular stylist!
