We had the chilli shrimp and chicken satay. The food was really good and at a decent price. The place was really clean, and the service was on point.

Hot Buns used to have delicious and unique bao buns (see the above photos), but unfortunately, these have been entirely and bafflingly stripped from the menu. Now they have … a hot dog in a cup of mashed potatoes? I wish that were a joke. I truly cannot understand the direction this place decided to go with their menu. Not even worth a desperate, post-midnight snack at this point.

Buns were fried to perfection, with plenty of sauce for dipping. Chicken was tender. Satay chicken sauce tasted a bit like curry. There were bits of peanuts in it but not very prominent. Yuzu slushy was refreshing and slightly sour yet sweet, tasting a bit like sour plum. The uncle was very nice and friendly.
