Great spot for a celebration! We had a lovely time — the service was attentive, and we appreciated being given a private room. There was a good variety of food to choose from, and everything we tried was satisfying. One highlight: the milkshake was huge — easily enough for four to share!

Staff are so friendly. They are attentive and work fast. There was a live singer on the Friday night we visited. The singer had a beautiful voice. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. It's not a good idea to sit outdoors because of the drunks; we even saw some vomit on the ground behind or near some of the chairs. Food is on the pricier side, but it's delicious. I wish they had used normal rice for the Nasi Lemak instead of risotto. Their pastas are awesome. The Durian Pengat cake is TO DIE FOR; it has real durian pieces on it! The Putu Piring cake is also awesome; I'd eat it twice! Their shakes are huge; we couldn't finish even one.

Had a great dinner at The Malayan Settlement. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, with a well-thought-out interior that made the space feel welcoming. The food was good — we had a steak, seafood pasta, mushroom soup, and one of their signature dessert shakes. The milkshake was especially eye-catching and definitely a highlight in terms of presentation. Portions were generous, and everything was nicely plated. Service was smooth throughout. Staff were attentive and checked in just enough without being overbearing, which added to the overall experience. There was also a live singer performing during the meal, which added a nice touch without being too loud or distracting — just the right kind of background music for a relaxing evening. A good spot if you’re looking for a place with both aesthetic appeal and great Instagrammable food.

Food was great. Service was incredible. Came here to celebrate with my bridesmaid, and the staff offered complimentary cakes 🤩. The atmosphere of the cafe was very chill and relaxing too. My only complaint is there was a live singer at the restaurant, and the sound system was too loud, so we had to shout to hear each other.

Here's the edited review: "Super attentive and friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I enjoy service with friendly banter that doesn't feel scripted or forced. Kudos to your team for making us feel at home! The food is amazing, and the portions are sizeable. It's truly a nice mix of Western dishes with an Asian twist. Durian Pengat Cake is a must-have, and I will definitely come back for it. We were still talking about it as we left the restaurant. The complimentary cake, offered both during dine-in and later for takeaway, was a very nice surprise."
