I seriously wanted to highlight my encounters while shopping at Miss Empire, Novena Square 2, with a staff assistant named Angela. She is very pushy and rude in her sales tactics. Following are my bad experiences with her, and not just once: 1. The words used when serving customers, such as 'I'm tough to please,' or 'difficult to serve,' etc. 2. She never focuses on what the customer likes or needs, but keeps promoting items just to meet sales targets. She often says that many of her customers buy the accessories just to keep them, which I don't understand why I would need to buy just for keeping. 3. She asked me to bring a friend for their company anniversary event. I respected the event, hence I dressed according to the team colour. However, the way she served my friend and me, for example, how food or drink were provided, was done in a miserable way. 4. Engages in unethical behaviors due to unrealistic expectations to succeed. For example, during this event, she reserved items that I had never even looked at and tried to force me to buy them. I never had any intention of coming for the event because I had no intention of buying anything, but she said this event was an 'eye-opening' event and that I didn't have to purchase anything. However, when I appeared, she then expected me to buy the item she had reserved for me, which I had already said many times I didn't like due to its colour and it being too small for me. Yet, she said she would be scolded if I reserved it and didn't buy it. In the first place, I never asked her to reserve anything. Also, she kept promoting items that didn't fit my character or needs. I have been to many events like Tiffany, Agnes B., Bottega, Manolo Blahnik, etc., and I have never seen such a company's way of conducting events, especially with such unethical sales tactics. I gave up on this company even though I have a few vouchers on hand. Also, when I highlighted this encounter to another Sales Assistant, K-Ling, she said the following: "I will update the office if you think that you need to unsubscribe from the invitation messages, as you had a bad experience at the event and feel you don't want to join again. I would help you to provide feedback if you needed, because I am here trying to help and understand my members' needs. I really hope my members can shop with us in a pleasant and joyous mode." This gave me the impression that this company really does not value the customer, nor does it try to improve on mistakes; instead, it simply implies, 'if you don't like it, then don't come.' FYI, the quality of their products is also not good; I have brought them back many times for repair. Also, this company does not respond to any unsatisfactory feedback, even though I am their Elite member.
