Here's the edited review:
A good à la carte buffet with fresh sashimi and sushi. There is currently a promotion: one person dines free with every three paying adults.
There is an extensive selection of sashimi, sushi, tempura, and other Japanese dishes.
It is known for generous portions and fresh ingredients.
A key advantage is that there is no time limitation. Lunch hours are 11:30 AM to 2 PM, and dinner hours are 6 PM to 10 PM.
Service tends to slow down when the restaurant is crowded, so be patient.

Excellent service – everyone was so lovely. Shoutout to Som for being pleasant and kind.
Their food menu is great – diverse options! Sashimi is fresh, chicken wings are to die for! Food came out quickly at the start but started to slow down after (from 8pm onwards), but that’s normal given the orders that come in.
No time limit on seating, which is amazing. We had 2 hours of awesome food and fantastic service. Thank you to the chefs as well! Will bring more friends over, highly recommended!

Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem for sushi and Japanese cuisine enthusiasts. The sashimi is incredibly fresh, the portions are generous, and the buffet offers excellent value for money. Service is warm and attentive, and the ambience is cosy yet elegant—perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. Highly recommend their premium buffet if you want to indulge in quality sushi and teppanyaki. Will definitely return!

Got the premium buffet.
See attached for my order.
1. The sashimi was decent. The raw oyster had a bitter aftertaste.
2. I ordered the lamb steak and asked for medium rare, but it was consistently well done.
3. The foie gras was extremely overcooked, to the extent that its texture became like pork liver.
4. Service for cooked food took at least 20-30 minutes, as experienced with the lamb and foie gras (the foie gras portion was so small, calling it 1/4 of a piece was an overstatement).
5. Portions were small, with some items being nearly bite-sized. Therefore, order multiple items to prevent waiting too long.
6. The appetizer was decent, but again, the portion was small, so order more to prevent waiting.
I never ordered premium seafood because it took too long for food to reach me. Therefore, I do not recommend the premium menu overall. However, if you just want salmon or maguro, the basic menu will suffice.

This is probably our fourth visit in the past decade – and there’s definitely a reason we keep coming back. Despite the many new dining options popping up over the years, this place has remained one of our go-to spots for a satisfying and memorable meal.
We opted for the Regular À La Carte Buffet instead of the Premium one at $59.90++, simply because the regular menu already offers such a wide variety of dishes. From appetizers to mains and even sides, the selection is impressive and more than enough to keep us happily full.
Every dish we ordered was a hit. From the moment the first plates arrived at our table, we were impressed by the presentation and attention to detail. The quality of the food was consistently top-notch – flavours were well-balanced, and ingredients were fresh. Just take a look at the photos we snapped during our meal… they speak for themselves!
Service was also excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. We also appreciate that there doesn’t seem to be a strict time limit for the buffet, so we could take our time to enjoy each dish at a comfortable pace.
All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience once again. Great food, great service, and great value for the variety and quality offered. We’ll definitely be back!
