Señor Taco Clarke Quay brings authentic Mexican culinary traditions and vibrant Latin culture to Singapore's iconic riverside entertainment district. Since opening in 2009, this sultry Mexican restaurant has established itself as the premier destination for genuine Mexican street food and agave-based cocktails in the heart of Clarke Quay. The restaurant combines authentic Mexican flavors with an electrifying atmosphere featuring live Latin music, salsa dancing, and an al fresco dining area overlooking Clarke Quay's main fountain, creating the ultimate Mexican experience for locals and tourists alike.
The extensive menu showcases authentic Mexican street food with standout dishes including tacos de chicharrón, enchiladas, and the famous tacos al pastor featuring pork carnitas braised for 14 hours with pico de gallo and special sauce. Popular selections include the octopus chicharrón, beer-battered fish baja-style tacos with coleslaw, nachos topped with beef and jalapeños, and chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. The restaurant boasts an impressive mezcal library of over 200 labels alongside handcrafted agave cocktails including signature drinks like Paloma, Mezcalita Yuzu, classic margaritas, and local Brewlander craft beers on tap, making it a paradise for spirits enthusiasts.
Located at #01-09a Clarke Quay Block C, Señor Taco operates daily from 5:30 PM to 3:00 AM, perfectly positioned for after-work dining and late-night entertainment. The 3,500 square foot interior features an open kitchen, full bar, and happening dance floor with a stage for the resident live band, while the red-and-white themed al fresco area seats 50 guests with stunning river views. The restaurant's prime Clarke Quay location makes it easily accessible via Clarke Quay MRT station, offering both locals and visitors an unforgettable taste of Mexico with exceptional food, premium drinks, and energetic entertainment.
Been searching for good tacos in Singapore, and theirs were of good quality. However, customer service was meh, and the atmosphere was more suited for aunties and uncles who do ballroom dancing. Recommended for the older ones.

We have been coming to Señor Taco regularly for years because the food is good, and the band and atmosphere are truly exceptional — one of the few nice Latin American places in Singapore for us Latinos.
Unfortunately, today's completely chaotic and mediocre service experience is unacceptable. I don't blame the waiters, who were really trying their best, but rather the management.
I recommended the place for an office event and brought 13 people; I now regret it. At some point, drinks were taking 30 minutes to be served after ordering, and food service was also slow. Despite the great ambiance, my group decided to leave early as we weren't getting our drinks. Even paying the bill took over 15 minutes despite asking three staff members repeatedly for it. The amount of income the place is missing for not serving the drinks on time must be considerable.
To the management: you cannot run this place on a Friday evening with three waiters. It is irresponsible to your guests and unfair to your staff.
In the meantime, I will stop recommending this place, even with such a great band!

The atmosphere is the only good thing about this place. It had good vibes and great music, but everything was WAY overpriced. When you're hungry, you'd of course stop, but I'd never come back. $11 for one taco and $22 for one margarita in a half-sized glass is ridiculous and uncalled for. Not to mention, the food lacked good flavor.

I strongly recommend this place as the best night spot in Singapore. The staff are very friendly and kind. I was drunk and left my handbag, but they tried to locate us and waited for us to come back. When we returned the following day, they welcomed us. Of course, the atmosphere and drinks are also nice. I’ll certainly visit again when I come to Singapore.

We happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to have a meal there. The tacos and burgers were great! All the food we ordered was delicious, no complaints at all. We were also surprised to see people learning salsa, if I'm not mistaken, in the center of the room. At 8:30 PM, a live band started playing, and many people went to the dance floor. It was a really pleasant surprise, and we enjoyed watching other diners dance so much while the live band was singing! The ambience is great; it really has a dance vibe.

The vibrant and welcoming atmosphere is a major draw. The staff are extremely friendly and warm. I am always welcomed with their big smiles and hugs, especially by Varun and Lorna. They even go the extra mile to look out for me when I was tipsy there. Señor Taco is very fortunate to have such amazing staff to make customers feel great and welcomed.
I enjoy the live music, food, and drink too! It is always my first choice when I have friends visit Singapore. I usually visit it at least twice a week to just simply enjoy the music, dance, food, and drink. You must give it a try; I'm sure you will love it too :)!

My friend and I dropped by for a quick bite before heading home. We ordered several dishes that I recognized from my days back in the States.
Jalapeño Poppers - They're not spicy at all and don't offer any "kick," but they're well made.
Their Guacamole is delicious. We finished the dip and had to order another serving to finish the chips. Yummy!
The Carnitas were very good too. Two per serving hit the spot.
It was around 8 PM that the band started playing, and the dancing soon followed. It's a very vibrant place to hang out, have a bite, and maybe show off some moves.

Overall, it’s a really nice place to have a drink and hang out. I like the interior decor. Food and drink-wise, it's all right. I tried the beef taco, and it tasted super good – totally worth it! But the chicken and pork ribs were just not to my liking, as they were too tough to eat.

The food was excellent, tasted great, and came in decent portions. We went around 6 PM on a Sunday, and there was little to no crowd. Their happy hour deals are solid, covering beers, tacos, quesadillas, and more. While not the cheapest, they were reasonable given the location.
Service was top-notch! The staff were super attentive, gave great recommendations, chatted with us while we waited, and were extremely accommodating to our pet dog. Food came out piping hot and fast. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We definitely recommend making the most of their happy hour promos!

Best place in Singapore for Mexican food, Tequila and Mezcal, Latin music, and Latin dance. The tenderloin tacos, which are extremely aromatic and tasty, are my favourite. They were one of the first restaurants in Singapore to serve authentic Mexican food (rather than Tex-Mex, which is American) for over ten years. They also have an amazing live band on most nights and a fun crowd.

We held a charity event at Señor Taco on 10th May, and it was wonderfully hosted by the team. As the organizer, I truly appreciated how seamless everything was. A big thank you to Iman for his incredible support during the planning process—he paid close attention to every detail and ensured everything came together perfectly.
On the event day, the staff were friendly, attentive, and handled the full house with such professionalism. Our guests had an amazing time and truly enjoyed the experience. I’m also a regular here, not just for the great vibes, live music, and DJ sets, but because the tacos are absolutely delicious!
Huge thanks to the entire Señor Taco team for your outstanding hospitality and support!

I grew up hanging out at a bar that played Spanish music. When I returned to Singapore looking for a place that played good Spanish music, I was disappointed until a friend invited me out here. Love the music (even if the band and DJ have yet to play one of my favourites - Matador by Los Cadillacs) and the atmosphere on the dance floor. Staff have become friends, especially Iman and Nigel. Food is perhaps a little on the pricey side, but otherwise darn good. What’s there not to like?

This is the best place for extroverted people. I did bar hopping in Clarke Quay every single weekend, often visiting three bars in one night, during my 7-week stay in Singapore. I bumped into this amazing bar and ended up settling here.
The staff were very attentive and thoughtful. I'm sure they must have been properly trained by the store manager. The staff were friendly with each other, not only with customers, and seemed to enjoy working, so I was always able to spend my time in a good atmosphere, even as a solo visitor.
With all Latin music and sometimes club music, you'll never get bored with the place. Don't miss out on the food and drinks too! Thank you.

They run ladies' night on Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, offering free drinks to all ladies. I had never imagined anything like this; it felt very comfortable, enjoyable, and with no pressure regarding the free drinks.
After 8:30 PM, there was a band performance, and guests were able to dance to their music. However, the music was unfamiliar to me. It could also be too loud if you'd like to have private conversations. The portion of food seemed small for the price. But free beers and margaritas? There's no reason not to visit.

Fun place with great staff and good food. Music from the live band was not bad, but a little too loud if you're planning to have any kind of conversation. Better to sit outside if you want to chat. Good vibes inside, though. And I love the loaded nachos!
