Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Host/Hostess to join our team at Mr. Hainan, a Chinese restaurant. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in setting the tone for a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them as they leave.
• Manage reservations and waiting lists using a digital or manual system.
• Escort guests to their table and present menu.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates when required.
• Answer the phone and respond to inquiries about the restaurant, menu, or hours.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure timely seating.
• Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
• Ensure all guests are accommodated in a friendly and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Polished appearance and professional demeanor.
• Able to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Familiar with reservation and point-of-sale systems is an asset.
