Here's the edited review: Update 1 hour post-treatment: I am experiencing breathlessness. Seeing a doctor tomorrow. Dr. Liew runs a careless and dangerous practice. (1) Assessment: I described a series of both past and current injuries to him, but no assessment was done to check my current state. No X-ray, no tactile or visual assessment was performed, nor were any of the regular doctor's checks to determine the extent of my current pain. (2) Treatment time: * **No discussion:** He does not verbally walk through what he's about to do and does not explain why. This was my first treatment with him. * **Brute force:** Due to a lack of pre-assessment, he did not take stock of the extent of my current pain. Despite being informed of my current injury and pain in a specific segment of my upper back, he applied full force without any indication or warning, causing intense pain. His method seemed to be, "I'll do X first, and if I realize it hurts you, then I'll stop." This approach is dangerous. * **Attitude:** Dr. Liew carries an abrasive and confrontational air. Whenever I experienced high pain, he did not perform any status check-in and came off as disgruntled instead. * **Time Spent:** My actual face time with Dr. Liew was at most 5-6 minutes. He spent more time out of the room taking phone calls and talking to reception than in the treatment room. He entered and exited hurriedly each time. I got the tangible sense that he "had better things to do than be present for treatment." There was no formal end to the session; after I experienced intense pain, his solution was, "You lie down and wake up when you feel better," and he left the room once again. There was no debrief to the session either, nor any recap detailing what the treatment had been and what would be required for the future. He abruptly exited to his main office, leaving me with his receptionist. I have consulted countless different doctors from multiple pillars of the industry, but this was a first where I left feeling confused, frustrated, a sense of injustice, in pain, and with a huge "what the hell was all that?" On a positive note: The receptionist was excellent.
