Love the dim sum here. You can tell that they use high-quality ingredients. All are freshly made to order. The fillings and the sauce are delicious. The dumplings’ skin has a bouncy texture. Service is excellent. The staff always change the plate when needed without being asked. Will definitely come back again.

First time here, and I was a little skeptical when I could still book a table for dinner through Chope at 4 pm.
The location was at the extreme end, near the now-defunct Liang Court mall.
The decor was nice and cosy. However, I did have an issue with the table: it had sharp, 90-degree edges, which made resting my arms on it quite uncomfortable.
Service was understandably below par due to a lack of staff. They were trying hard but were overwhelmed with an almost full dinner seating. For example, they missed setting my table with serviettes and also missed offering gloves and wash bowls when they served the cold crab. We had to call for service staff a couple of times to change our plates because they were full of crustacean shells. The food sequence came at a rush for the first five dishes, and we had to wait for 20 minutes for the last hot dish. Desserts also had to be reminded twice before they were served. Even getting the bill required a few reminders. I'm not faulting the service staff, but the management will need to hire more staff, in my humble opinion.
The star of the night was the food! It was WOW! The cold crab with wine was so amazing; the crab was so well marinated with the aged huadiao wine. The Kurobuta Char Siu was just okay, but the snow pear infused with red wine that came with the Char Siu was so, so good! The oyster omelette was super crispy and tasty. The braised duck came with some slices of taukwa and peanuts, which were very good. The braise sauce tasted slightly herbal and very savoury. The spinach tofu with crab roe and crab meat was very tasty and went very well with white rice. However, I didn't find any crab roe inside, but rather lots of shrimp roe. Perhaps they ran out of crab roe... 🤔. Lastly, the icing on the cake was the Chye Poh Kway Teow; the wok hei filled our noses before the plate was even placed on the table. With crunchy Chye Poh and Kai Lan stems, perfect saltiness from the soya sauce, and not too oily, it was one of the best Chye Poh Kway Teow I had.
They are having a promotion now: a free cream sauce half Boston lobster with a $200 spend. The cream sauce was flavourful and had a slight spicy kick, but the lobster was a little dry. But since it was FOC, I can't complain much. 😅
Dessert lovers, rejoice! They have a good selection of desserts, from the all-time favourite Orh Nee to high-end Bird's Nest. We ordered Orh Nee and Mango Pudding.
They serve glutinous rice Pu-erh tea, which was fragrant and very easy on the palate.
Price-wise, it was slightly on the higher side, but the quality of food was equally high.
In summary, I just found another 'must-go-again' place to have dinner. I will definitely visit again!

The smell of fumes was overpowering the moment I stepped in; it was quite smelly. I also felt they were very understaffed. There was a bit of a lack in front-of-house hosting, which is very important, especially for the F&B industry. However, once the dishes were served, all those initial concerns were thrown out the window. By the end of the night, I could say nothing but 'awesome!' Kudos to the team because the food was truly exquisitely good. I have no complaints. As for their food, everything was almost perfect! The price tag was worth it! It's a place everyone should try at least once in a lifetime.

The Creamy Pumpkin Boston Lobster was a standout, and the rest of the dishes were just as impressive: from the fresh seafood to the flavorful Chaozhou-style bites. The atmosphere was classy and comfortable, perfect for gatherings. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Nice, pleasant restaurant nestled in Clark Quay. The tableware was unique, and the noise level was minimal. The food was cooked differently than at chain restaurants. The environment was cozy and pleasant, perfect for a special occasion. But what made the night truly memorable was the exceptional service from the waiter (last photo) who took care of us. He was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout the entire evening. When the birthday cake was brought out, he even helped to plate it, decorate the plate, and sing the birthday song with us—a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! The standout dishes for us were the Steamed Leopard Coral Grouper and the Double-Boiled Salted Vegetable Pig Stomach Soup stuffed with French Poulet; both were consistently delicious! The service was also top-notch. A special thanks to the boss for the thoughtful arrangement of 寿桃 (longevity peaches) for my mom’s birthday celebration. It truly made the occasion extra special. First time visiting Fu Yuan Dining with my parents for dinner. We had most of the signature dishes and were all very impressed! The food came out a little too fast, and with limited table space, we felt a bit rushed to finish. Overall, it was still a great experience. We had an early Father’s Day celebration at Fu Yuan, located at Block A, Clarke Quay (just next to the taxi stand).
We ordered several of their signature dishes, including:
• Pan-fried oyster omelette
• Braised platter
• Marble goby (Teochew style)
• XO scallop with asparagus
• Crabmeat tofu
• Grilled Kurobuta black pork
• Chilled drunken yellow roe crab
Every dish was well-executed and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A standout for us was the pan-fried marble goby served in shark cartilage soup—the broth was incredibly rich and flavourful; we could’ve happily sipped it on its own!
I also really enjoyed the chilled drunken yellow roe crab—super creamy with a texture and taste that reminded me of ice cream. An unexpected delight!
The total bill for 5 pax came to around $480++. As a bonus, there was a special promotion: a complimentary lobster in creamy pumpkin sauce with a minimum spend of $200—a generous and delicious addition to an already satisfying meal.

I had my ROM hosted here, and the restaurant was super accommodating! We managed to fit up to 16 people at one table in a private room. The food was so good that we'd eaten some dishes before taking pictures, and the room has a KTV set, which really helps with the mood! Their service is professional and excellent, making the whole event and lunch very enjoyable for me and my wife's family. Really recommend this restaurant to everyone! Will come back to try other dishes as well.
The pork with red alcohol pear was delicious. Their signature eggplant dish is a must-try as well! The shark fin soup was full of collagen.

One of the finest Chinese dining experiences I’ve had, where sumptuous Teochew cuisine is served with a touch of elegance.
The meal begins with a tender Black Kurobuta Char Siew, perfectly paired with sweet red wine pear, a refined start that awakens the palate.
Then came one of the highlights: the Crispy ‘Bing Chuan’ Brinjal, beautifully crisp on the outside, moist and sweet within.
The Teochew Pan-Fried Oyster Omelette is fried to golden perfection, with juicy, fresh oysters tucked inside. Be sure to dip it in the tangy chilli sauce. It elevates every bite.
Next, the Chilled Drunken Yellow Roe Crab: the sweet, tender meat and rich roe shine through, beautifully enhanced by the house-brewed Hua Diao wine sauce.
The humble Preserved Radish Hor Fun surprises with depth, a perfect balance of flavour and wok hei that won over everyone at the table.
Then came the creative twist: Pumpkin Boston Lobster. The succulent lobster is coated in a velvety pumpkin sauce that’s unexpectedly delightful, a bold, modern take done right.
My favourite was the comforting yet complex dish that followed: the Double-boiled Salted Vegetable Pig’s Stomach Soup, stuffed with French poulet. Every sip was layered with savoury richness and luxurious warmth.
We ended on a classic note: the all-time favourite Orh Nee, rich, smooth, and soul-satisfying.
A meal that impressed at every turn. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their signatures!

Being Teochew, we decided on this restaurant for a homecoming celebration. It was a good choice as the staff were considerate and helpful. There were 18 of us, and we were given a private room with a very large round table. Being our first time there, the staff guided us through the menu. We decided on a mix of their signature dishes, some with multiple portions, like the Grilled Kurobuta Black Char Siew, two Fish dishes cooked in different styles, Live Prawns, Double-Boiled Salted Vegetable Pig's Stomach, Steamed Fu Yuan La Tofu with Superior Soy Sauce, Braised Meat Platter, Seafood Yuan Yang Hor Fun, and various appetisers like Large Blood Cockles (super yummy!), Marinated Jelly Fish with House Special Garlic Sauce, Crispy Bing Chuan Brinjal, and Marinated Duo-Coloured Lotus. For desserts, we tried the Orh Nee (Mashed Taro with Pumpkin and Gingko) and Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo. Without a doubt, our favourites were the appetisers! They were unique, especially the large, super delicious cockles and the crispy brinjal, which left us craving for more! We will definitely visit again on our next trip back.
PS The private room on the second floor was accessible for one of our guests in a wheelchair via a guided route.
