Had an amazing meal with friends at Haidilao on Saturday. It was visibly packed and the staff were all working very hard. Perhaps they were short staffed on the day. But food and service **were** great nonetheless.
In particular, I would like to praise 汪雪梅. She was brilliant! Not only did she do an incredible job serving us, I also noticed she was giving the same amazing service to 5 other tables besides us! Her passion and smiles were shining through despite the massive workload. Props to you Xue Mei! We will be back :)

Haidilao Hot Pot at Clarke Quay is located amongst the bars and clubs. It is on Level 2, and a lift is available. During the daytime, the place is quite secluded and pleasant, with a view of the Singapore River from the window. The service and food are consistent. Side dishes are nice, and a variety of fruits are available. Coffee is also available. Cold beancurd and jelly fruit desserts are nice!

This Haidilao outlet offers many amenities. I was surprised to also see a mouthwash dispenser at the sink area, in addition to the usual tidbits and games at the entrance. Service was top-notch, and the food was fresh.
We had a birthday celebration, and Kevin (the ever-attentive waiter) sang the old couple a birthday song.
We spent about $545 for 11 of us on February 16, 2025 (Sunday).

1/4 mushroom with chicken soup: $9++ - There were 2 quarters of mushroom, 1 fishball, and 3 pieces of chicken. Worthiness: 4/5.
Half pork slices: $12++. Worthiness: 3/5 because it's really expensive; only 10 slices, each half the size of typical shabu-shabu slices, but it was nice.
Instant noodles: $2++. Worthiness: 0/5, as this is included in VivoCity outlet's condiment bar.
Half glass noodles: $3++. Worthiness: 3/5. The only problem was the price; the portion was sizeable.
Condiment bar: $4.80++. This does not include drinks, but comes with sauces, fruits, century egg pork porridge, and seasoned mushroom. The mushroom was very good; I ate a full bowl of it as is. Worthiness: 3/5, as it helped me feel fuller, and the available items differ by outlet.
I also made a bracelet, which is outlet-specific. I was there from around 2 PM to 4 PM; the place was quiet and had fewer than 10 tables occupied. There was also free beancurd and ice cream, so be sure to ask for them.
Jiayi (male) was really patient and had good service. He came to my table and checked in multiple times to help add soup, clean the soup, clear the table, and even help me make mala soup from the sauces at the condiment bar. That's how I got my second soup, and it tasted great! Xiao Fang (female) was also great; she even came to tell me that the first colleague had gone on break and it was now her turn to serve. Both of them deserve credit.
There were other staff members who needed improvement. For example, the manager in pink was not exactly the friendliest at first when I went in and asked about how to use the voucher. However, she eventually took some time to explain the membership to me, so she redeemed herself. There was another lady who was not so kind at first, but eventually helped me with bracelet making and somewhat redeemed herself as well.
If not for Jiayi, who was so friendly and asked if I needed help when I took a long time to order, I might not have stayed at this outlet.
Despite not ordering much, I was incredibly full. This was my only meal of the day. I will come back again.

Visited Haidilao Clarke Quay on a busy Saturday night, and as expected, there was a long queue. Despite 13 tables ahead of us, the wait time was around 45 minutes, which was quite reasonable. The waiting area was well-equipped with games, snacks, and drinks, making the wait enjoyable.
Tip: Join the waiting list online (search for the outlet). This tells you how many tables are in front of you (according to group size).
A big shoutout to Alex for his excellent service! He was always smiling and attended to our table promptly, making the dining experience even better. The food was, as always, delicious, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
We were seated in the inner part of the restaurant, which was brighter and less packed. This made for a much more enjoyable and peaceful dining experience, allowing us to fully savor our meal without feeling too crowded.
We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday, and while the iPad wished him a happy birthday, there was no birthday celebration, which I had expected based on other patrons' experiences. I'm not sure if this is something that needs to be requested in advance, but it didn't take away from the great meal and overall experience.

Our family's dinner experience at Haidilao Clarke Quay was totally amazing! As my family had already reserved a table in advance, our wait time was very short (less than 10 minutes), and there were snacks available at the waiting area, just like other Haidilao outlets. During our dinner, our table staff, 静静 (Jing Jing), was very dedicated and patient in attending to our queries and even shared some interesting information about the dishes and soup base we ordered! She really cared about her customers and made every effort to attend to each table in her section. This dinner night was definitely wonderful!

I was here doing research. I wanted to find out if this joint is on a death spiral since they announced a permanent discount on their soup base. After all, you don't discount unless you've got a problem, right? Well…
Did I do any research? Well, I think I ate more than I researched. In fact, I ate so much they gave me a goodie bag.
I blame the chicken soup broth and the mushroom broth, which are irresistible. If you think the HDL NTUC soup was good, you will weep in silent joy at how good this is.
I really forgot how good HDL is.
Pro tip: The simple tofu with the spicy bean paste is the best.

I had a wonderful time dining at Hai Di Lao! The service provided by 家意 truly impressed me—he was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable. While showing him the HDL app, he even noticed that my phone needed charging and kindly showed us where to plug it in.
The soup bases were rich and delicious, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. I also really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the snacks and entertainment. I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit!
