A nice little speakeasy, hidden on the second floor. I quite liked the decor and the various rooms. They offer interesting cocktails and finger food. It's ideal for hanging out with friends or for a date. The staff is quite helpful, and prices are reasonable. It's located opposite Le Noir; just climb the staircase to Level 2. Parking is available right next to it.

Came for drinks only and had an amazing time. The cocktails are innovative and the decor is brilliant. There’s a fun mirrored booth which was great to take pictures in.

The food was good! Ambiance was great too. I actually returned after this visit, and will definitely be back in the future. Also, I had the chance to try Yamazaki 12 and Hibiki 21 😢 Pictured: - Chicken Karage πŸ‘πŸ» - K.F.C. πŸ‘πŸ» - Prawn Paste Frog Tempura πŸ‘πŸ» - Corn Ribs πŸ‘ŒπŸ» - Chicken Tsukune πŸ‘ŒπŸ» - Truffle Shiitake Risotto πŸ‘πŸ» - Iberico Secreto Don πŸ‘ŒπŸ» - Salmon Tiradito πŸ‘ŒπŸ» - Scallop & Slaw πŸ‘ŒπŸ» - Kanpachi & Citrus Spinach πŸ‘πŸ» - Iberico Gyoza πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Cool Japanese-themed place, but the service really sucks. The lady who served us would come to our table every 20-30 minutes, asking us to order more drinks/food even though we hadn't finished our current ones. When she spilled one of the drinks, she didn't apologize, and on one occasion, she insisted on taking away one of our cocktails when it was clearly still full. To make matters worse, they asked us to pay the bill by 10 PM, saying that since it would be crowded, they wouldn't have time to bill us. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't crowded at all. Cocktails were okay, but I will not be returning due to the service.

Perhaps I was at the wrong place. It was advertised as a speakeasy and cocktail bar, so my friend and I went. But when we arrived, it was noisy and turned out to be like a club with dancing and party music. Not the speakeasy I had in mind. I must say, the entrance decor was very nice, and I liked it until I was inside the club. I didn't stay, since it wasn't what I wanted. So I didn't have any drinks or food at the place and was unable to experience the services.

Here's the edited review: I had a chance to come here with my girl last month. My first impression of Kitty was the decoration, featuring a Japanese style with a main color scheme of yellow, red, and orange, as you can see in the pictures. Love the lanterns and the leaves. We chose to sit right at the counter so we could observe bartenders making drinks. For food, we ordered quite a lot since both of us were so hungry after work. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures since I was so hungry. We had: - Risotto Al Tartufo $34: Perfect for sharing. Loved the black truffle aroma in the risotto; it wasn't too strong. - Chikin Tsukune $15: Charcoal-grilled meatballs with Sansho Tare – not bad at all, but it was a little bit salty for me. - Iberico Secreto $32: Iberico pork with sweet garlic puree and raisins. Not impressive; I couldn't recall the flavor of this dish. - Frog Leg Tempura $24: I highly recommend this dish! The frog leg was crispy but not dryβ€”believe me, not dry at all. It was served with a special chili sauce that the bartender warned me was very spicy. However, I can eat spicy food, so it wasn't a big deal for me. - Gyoza Iberico with X.O. Sauce $15: I liked this dish. Perfect seasoning. Drink: - Vodka Grey Goose - neat - Sake no Hana $22: This was my first time trying this mixture, so it was a little bit strange for me. Ingredients included: Junmai Sake, St. Germain, Pomegranate, Bubbles. - My girl ordered a drink that was specially made with a device to create a smoky, burning smell and taste. It was quite unique, but unfortunately, I can't remember the name. I will come back here again to try the rest of the food and beverage menu. In general (+) - Pleasant view, suitable for those who love taking pictures - The staff are very friendly and supportive - Food, in general, was served quite fast - They have social media presence (Facebook and Instagram) and an official website. You can view the menu on their official website. - The place was clean, well-maintained, and the furniture was quite new as well. (-) - If you are not accustomed to the Clarke Quay area, it might be a little difficult to find the place. - Reservations are highly recommended from Friday to Sunday, as it gets very crowded. While not essential on weekdays, booking a table is still recommended for a better experience.

This new cocktail bar in Clarke Quay is clearly set up with Instagram in mind. I visited here around October 2021. The service was good; the wait staff were attentive and engaging. We ordered both food and cocktails. The food was slightly above average; some dishes were good, while others were just normal bar food. The cocktails needed some work. I'll try again at some stage if I'm in the area. Overall, just an okay bar. There's too much focus on aesthetics and not enough on the drinks.

Tucked away on the 2nd floor, HKK is a speakeasy by Zouk Group, located away from the buzz and bustle of Clarke Quay. Huevos Estrellados is a dish involving eggs fried in a large amount of olive oil or any other oil. In this case, ours arrived in a small hotplate where the server proceeded to help us mix the Potato Hash, Onsen Egg, and Chorizo, frying it on the spot. Not gonna lie, the end product reminded me of Char Kway Tiao. True to its moniker, Chikin Tsukune is basically charcoal-grilled meatballs. Chicken tsukune usually varies from shop to shop, as the recipe often involves using up chicken scraps that might otherwise go to waste. Here, the meatballs were pretty huge and arrived super glossy, as they were soaked in Sansho Tare that boasts a thick viscosity and sweet, caramelised flavour. My only qualm was the soft bones mixed in the meatball β€” it does give it a slight crunch for texture, but I personally do not like soft bones. The Ebi Sriracha features Prawn Tempura with Sriracha Mayo and Tobiko and is the dish that stood out least throughout the night. The fact that it's not deshelled also makes eating it less enjoyable #firstworldproblem Chef Angus Wagyu Sando has to be the highlight of the meal (since it's the most expensive one lol) and for good reason. The soft and buttery slab of wagyu beef is packed between two lightly toasted/fried slices of bread, topped with caviar before being showered with gold dust. Very boujee, but I thought it was lacking a little in terms of flavour.

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and honestly, this is by far the best speakeasy I've been to. The service was amazing, the drinks were absolutely grand, and the bites were quite good (though I would have liked a few more vegetarian options). One of the staff gave us a little tour of the place, detailing its history and design while also introducing us to the omakase restaurant attached to the bar. It is pricey: for four drinks each and sharing three appetizers, it came down to $132 per person, but it was worth it for a fabulous celebration.

Here's the lightly edited review: "Interesting bar hidden in Clarke Quay. It's right at the corner on the second level. Nice vibes. We went on a Wednesday night, and it was very quiet; we were one of the only customers. Didn't order any alcoholic drinks as I wasn't feeling it, but the mocktail I custom-ordered was great. Food was decent; the chicken karage tasted really crispy, and the sauce was good. The don I ordered was flavourful. Slightly overpriced for the quality of food, but nothing too extravagant given it's Clarke Quay, after all. You can give it a try if you are in the area!"
