Italian feast with a great vibe at Il Clay Supper Club. Their 48-hour proofed dough technique delivers the most delicious crust, and you'll finish every last bit – I certainly did!
Seating outdoors by the water, or indoors if you prefer. The restaurant has some really good choices, like their Six Stars pizza or the Sicilian Stuffed Squid with saffron, risotto, and chorizo peperonata sauce.
And the cocktails are great; we started with a Chianti Sour that was so good, we ended the night with it too.

We tried this restaurant on a Sunday evening. I made reservations, but they may not have been necessary. The restaurant was not crowded, perhaps due to the many options in the Boat Quay and Clarke Quay area.
The outside of the restaurant is plain and looks like the pizzerias I see overseas. Outdoor dining is by the Singapore River, so it's more "exciting." However, once the door opens to the indoor dining, the atmosphere is completely different. Pinkish lighting and nice music. Mostly circular booth seats with a bar counter in the middle.
We ordered the 4-piece (slices) Napoli pizza. It was nice and not too filling. A full pizza is 6 slices and 12 inches. My GF didn't like the olives; I concluded that it was a preference. The olives tasted normal to me. We didn't want to be stuffed again, so we went easy with the Burnt Cabbage, which was quite tasty except for the cream that I didn't much care for. This, I know, is my preference. The Roasted Pork Belly was quite good, except that it was too chunky a piece to deal with. It was like Chinese roasted pork, but mostly lean meat with a small portion of fat and a thick, crispy skin. We ordered two mocktails: Peach and Lychee. The Lychee tasted more normal; the Peach had a "medicine" taste initially. We didn't try anything else, but from what we ordered, I'm quite sure they would be pretty good.
Honestly, it will be quite a while before we circle back to this establishment. There are just too many restaurants to try.

AMAZING!!! My dining experience at ILclay Singapore was fantastic, and it truly deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants. Returning after six months from KL, it was just as impressive, if not better, than I remembered. I tried two different cocktails, each crafted to perfection, and paired them with some delectable snacks – absolutely worth it! The ambiance was delightful, creating a perfect setting for the evening.
What made the experience truly unforgettable was CY and the team’s exceptional service. Their attentiveness, teamwork, and warmth elevated everything. Highly recommended!

We sat outdoors, much lovelier than indoors! We had their number 1 pizza, the 6-cheese and honey pizza. In my opinion, it tastes okay, but I don’t see how it’s the number one pizza. However, the truffle pasta was surprisingly good! I enjoyed that. The tomato eggplant orecchiette was also pretty appetizing; my friend liked that. The classic tiramisu was okay, a little thick. Maybe we should try another pizza next time. Price is steep.

The crust of the pizza was crispy yet fluffy, and I could tell that the ingredients, such as tomatoes and pesto, were really fresh. Ambience was romantic. However, the food was a little pricey.

Had the 2-course lunch at $38. Tried the pork belly, bacon-wrapped scallop skewers, and sirloin steak. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Would be 5* if they *served* complimentary iced water.

We didn't have a nice experience at the restaurant, as the service was not very welcoming, and the food, besides the pizza, was awful. The waitress didn't understand the concept of starters and main courses and served everything at once. Even when we brought the mistake to her attention, she didn't understand what we wanted. So, after she took the plates back, she brought them out again five minutes later while we were eating our starter. Furthermore, once the mains were served, they were cold. The pasta was not seasoned at all, and certainly not in an Italian style, and the tomato sauce tasted like fish. The only enjoyable thing was the pizza. However, the manager was so polite and offered us a discount. Worst Italian food we ever had. As Italians ourselves, this was rather disappointing.
