Nice restaurant ambiance, with a great selection of food that is well-presented. Portions are generous, though the taste could be improved; some dishes were somewhat underwhelming. Service is excellent. Kudos to Hakim; we were well served. The desserts were very good.

It's my first time dining here, and the food and service certainly did not disappoint! The ambiance was very cozy and relaxing, and they played good music. Service-wise, Miss Zara, the staff member who attended to me, was really friendly and accommodating. She was very welcoming and explained how I could use my Capita voucher. I ordered the Eggs Benny for my brunch, and it was really good. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. This is a highly recommended place to dine in Clarke Quay, and their menu prices were really reasonable. Will definitely come back. 🤗

Absolutely loved the service and the food! I really appreciate that they took their time with us and didn’t rush us at all, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We also got some delicious complimentary cakes, and we had a fantastic time celebrating our friend's birthday!

Went there with my son, daughter-in-law, and daughter for the two girls' birthday celebration dinner. Loved the ambiance, and all the service staff were so friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly, and the beef fried rice was unexpectedly good. Soft shell crab pasta was a little spicy, but I loved it. Prawns on prata were unique and different, but I found the price a bit expensive. We were given two slices of complimentary birthday cake, and they gave him another two slices of cake when my son went to settle the bill. We ordered an ondeh-ondeh and a durian cake, which were so yummy. We had a pleasant dinner, and there was a solo guy singing with an organ, which made the atmosphere lively. However, be prepared to spend a little more. After all, it was a two-person birthday celebration, so it was worth it. I will go back for the beef fried rice.

I've always been a fan of The Malayan Council, especially the Bussorah outlet, where the food, service, and consistency have made it my go-to spot for special occasions. Naturally, I had high expectations for The Malayan Settlement.
The ambience was warm, stylish, and perfect for a celebration. The chee cheong fun salad and truffle fries were genuinely good, and the rose given to mums was such a thoughtful gesture.
However, the main courses served during this dining experience were not well-seasoned, and the service offered was not up to their usual high standards. The mushroom soup and prawn bisque were bland and watery, requiring us to season them ourselves. The watermelon juice tasted diluted, and the $69 wagyu lacked flavour, leaving us feeling underwhelmed. The buah keluak fried rice was a miss, and the laksa was overly salty. While the smoked duck chilli padi lemak was okay, it didn't shine as it usually does at other outlets.
While the meal itself left us feeling disappointed, the service recovery afterwards made us feel seen and valued as customers, given how rare it is for establishments to reach out once a dining experience has ended. This proactive approach from the management was a pleasant surprise.
As such, we are willing to come back and show our support again.

Hidden Gem Alert: Malayan Settlement at Clarke Quay! ✨🇸🇬
If you're an adventurous foodie, this is your next must-visit spot! From bold flavors to IG-worthy desserts, Malayan Settlement takes classic Southeast Asian dishes and gives them an exciting twist! Here’s what I loved:
✅️ Mushroom Soup – Deep, earthy flavors with real mushroom bits. So thick and comforting, my top pick!💕💕
✅️ Chee Chong Fun Salad – A unique twist you won’t expect!
✅️ Nasi Lemak Risotto – Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. Think fried chicken, sambal, and ikan bilis meeting Italian comfort food.
✅️ Steak & Mash – Juicy Angus striploin with buttery mashed potatoes. A solid choice for meat lovers!
✅️ Koko Koma – A chocolate lover’s dream! A loaded chocolate shake with a whole cake on top—yes, you read that right! Perfect for sharing.
✅️ Refreshing Drinks – The Malayan Mojito & Tropica Island are so refreshing, perfect for Singapore’s heat!
💡 Best part? It’s Muslim-owned and Halal-certified! Whether you’re here for a date night, family gathering, or just a treat-yourself moment, this place delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and top-notch service (shoutout to Hakim!).

Came for a birthday dinner. First impressions were the prices on the menu, which were understandable considering the restaurant’s location, and the food quality was impressive. My miso cod’s description didn’t mention the wasabi-infused mash, and the birthday girl’s scallop risotto only had three small scallops on the green rice, which was al dente. The kids enjoyed the signature milkshakes, which came in at around 25SGD (including taxes and service charges). Overall, we had a good meal here despite the prices.

I recently dined at a wonderful restaurant for iftar, and it was the perfect spot to celebrate with loved ones. Whether you're looking for a special occasion or just a memorable meal, this place is a great choice.
The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Risotto Nasi Lemak, an Asian twist on a classic dish that was full of flavor. The Chee Chong Fun Salad Power was also a standout—fresh, vibrant, and unique.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ambiance made for a comfortable and relaxing dining experience. It’s clear that they truly care about providing excellent service.
Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal. A big thank you to the team for making it such a wonderful experience!

We came to Malayan Settlement for my mum's birthday lunch, and I must say it was a brilliant experience. Zara, our server, made us feel so welcome! She was very polite, jovial, and sweet. She even asked if it was anyone's birthday.
The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The laksa was really flavourful, and the fish and chips were not floury at all. The Impossible Burger was the best I've ever tasted. On top of that, we got complimentary cake, and Zara even joined us to sing my mum a birthday song.
10 stars! Thanks a lot đź’śđź’ś
