Really nice place to go for a Japanese meal without burning your pocket. A lovely night with your date or loved ones, with great ambiance and delicious sashimi, sushi, tempura, and Sake – a perfect mix. Cheers!

I had weekend lunch with my family about a month ago. We were given a complimentary oyster, which was mediocre. The only dishes that stood out were the à la carte prawns (not pictured) and the grilled cod fish. Speaking of the grilled cod fish, we waited a long 45 minutes for it. After checking twice with the waitress, she kept saying the kitchen was preparing it. Then, we overheard a kitchen staff member raising his voice in frustration as he reacted to our inquiry. Since our table was right outside the kitchen, we could clearly hear him shouting that they weren’t just grilling cod fish for our table alone. He even banged his frying spatula loudly against the pan or wok, sounding visibly upset. The experience was far from pleasant.

This place serves an à la carte buffet menu, with two selections: the Normal or Premium options, priced at $59.90++ and $99.90++ respectively. Currently, there is a 'buy 5 get 1 free' promotion ongoing. We opted for the Normal buffet, and I must say, the selection is very good. For the price range, most of the items were nice and decently good. However, the serving speed was decently good, despite it being a Sunday evening. The staff are friendly, and they go around serving hot and cold green tea at regular intervals. The frequency with which they clear used plates is also good. Overall, it's a good place for an à la carte buffet at a decent price.

My first time here. Love the sashimi, which was so thick and fresh! The atmosphere and ambience are also great for hanging out with friends. Service has been good too. Food does not take long to be served. Will come back again!

I always get the regular buffet offer for 59.99++. Although nothing stood out, the variety of sushi, sashimi, and other dishes such as tempura, various Japanese noodles, and grilled items are still delicious for the price. Each buffet comes with free-flow hot/cold green tea. A good option for those who love Japanese food buffets.

The sushi and other dishes at this Japanese restaurant are freshly prepared and delicious; however, the prices are a bit elevated.

This place serves an à la carte buffet for $60++ and also offers regular à la carte dining. Since most of us don't eat that much, we opted for just à la carte. The food is decent, with good service. You just press a button, and a staff member will come. The refillable green tea is not on the menu; you have to inform the staff that you want it. The place is spacious, and it's suitable for a big group. The bill includes 9% GST and 10% service charge. For example, a bowl of Udon Tempura is $17.00, and including GST and service charge, it comes to $20.23 total.

On 2/5, we celebrated our 7th-year anniversary at Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant with an à la carte buffet lunch. Overall, it was good, except the spaghetti mentaiko didn't suit our taste. We loved the thick cuts of fresh sashimi and sushi. Coincidentally, I wasn't feeling well today, with a sore throat and fever. Food service was a bit slow, though it wasn't too crowded.

We ordered the buffet, and it was very overpriced. The sashimi was subpar and farmed. It was clearly Norwegian sashimi, not authentic Japanese food. The sashimi sushi was terrible. The chawanmushi was nothing to write home about. The mentaiko fries were slightly below borderline. The best dish was the free mentaiko scallops they gave. We will not return.

𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐭 at The Central (Clarke Quay) is a hidden gem for Japanese buffet lovers. It has a cozy, no-frills setting with a panoramic riverside view. The star here is not the decor, but the ridiculously generous all-you-can-eat à la carte buffet. You will get fresh sashimi (thick-cut, not stingy), premium sushi, grilled items, tempura, teppanyaki, and even unagi — all served freshly made, not sitting out cold. Highlights of the premium buffet include items like foie gras, wagyu steak, crayfish, Iberico pork rib, lobster bisque, and more. ⭐️⭐️𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐔𝐌 𝐁𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐓⭐️⭐️ Adult - $99.90++ Child below 1.4m tall - $49.90++ Child in baby chair - Free ❤️❤️𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐓❤️❤️ Adult - $59.90++ Child below 1.4m tall - $29.90++ Child in baby chair - Free ⚠️❗️𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐓 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒❗️⚠️ 1️⃣One dines FREE with 3 paying adults (applicable for lunch every day) 2️⃣15% OFF on ladies night (every Monday night, excluding PH and PH eve) 3️⃣15% OFF on NSMEN night (every Tuesday night, excluding PH and PH eve) 4️⃣Buffet Plus - top up $25++ for free flow sake and beer @mitsuba.j.restaurant is definitely worth going because it offers a premium yet fuss-free Japanese feast that combines quality, variety, and value — all in one experience.
