We had dinner. We ordered Samosa and Ambi paneer for starters. Both were good. For the main course, we ordered pav bhaji, mix veg, and dal makhani with garlic naan, tandoori roti, and ajwain paratha. The Ambi paneer, naan, paratha, and dal makhani were very tasty.
We were seated outdoors at a table opposite the bar adjoining Gabbar, called Cuba Libre. The noise coming from there was deafening. You cannot have a conversation if you are seated there. If you decide to visit this place, insist on a table away from Cuba Libre.

I noticed a lot of recent mixed reviews about this restaurant, so I decided to visit and experience the service, food, and atmosphere firsthand. Here’s my honest breakdown.
We dined on a Wednesday evening around 6 pm. Upon arriving, I noticed a brief delay in service as it seemed the staff were engaged in discussions. I would expect meetings to be concluded before opening hours to ensure prompt service. From a business perspective, it's more professional that way, but of course, this could vary based on the restaurant's management style.
We ordered the half non-veg platter, and while the flavors were good, the pricing felt excessive for what was offered. Considering it’s not a high-end restaurant, the taste was decent but not outstanding, which makes the high price even harder to justify. The portion size was also underwhelming for the cost, with only three pieces per person. The combination of average taste and small portions simply didn’t align with the premium pricing, making it feel like poor value for money.
Next, we tried the lamb curry, which was well-seasoned, not too spicy, and just right. We also ordered rumali roti to accompany the meal. One notable point is that the restaurant only serves Evian water at $7 a bottle—no tap water option, which I found surprising.
We also ordered a gin and tonic at $18 per glass and requested it to be a bit stronger, which they kindly accommodated.
On Wednesdays, they offer a special package where you can bring your female friends for free-flow drinks from 8 to 10 pm for $30. However, the catch is you can’t sit outside while enjoying this deal. We paid $142 in total for our meal, including two drinks.
Afterward, we moved to the bar area, which felt like a mini club with a live band and DJ playing. There’s plenty of space to dance. We enjoyed the free-flow drinks for two hours and recommend the Gabbar masala fries. They offer a sour-spice flavor with some chaat masala and were perfect for sharing among four people. If you prefer them spicier, please let them know.
The live band could be improved by including a mix of Hindi and Tamil songs. As a Hindi speaker with a Tamil-speaking friend, we would have appreciated a more diverse playlist to make the experience more enjoyable for both of us. Nevertheless, the band was good for the night.
We requested the volume to be lowered since there were only two of us near closing time. They mentioned that the volume was fixed and couldn't be adjusted, which we were fine with.
We ended the night with one more gin after happy hour. Our total bill came to $108 for the drinks and fries.
Overall, it's a nice place; however, the food is a bit pricey compared to the portion sizes. Despite this, I wouldn't mind returning to try more of the menu. Hopefully, they will be able to make some improvements for customers in the future.

It was our first time here, and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The service was very good, and every dish was fantastic! We ordered chicken tikka, veg momos, and kheema pav. We had numerous paani poori under the bottomless weekend brunch, and we were so stuffed! They even brought us a small complimentary brownie to celebrate the occasion. It was very sweet of them! We'll be recommending this place to our family and friends.

The restaurant's best attribute is its unbeatable view. If you're lucky enough to be seated just next to the railing, you get to gaze over the Singapore River and the occasional red boats flowing by.
The atmosphere is incredible. Even on a sunny day, you can barely feel the heat thanks to the restaurant's open-air concept, and you can feel the wind as you eat.
I had the lunch buffet during my visit, and as a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised to see the many options catered to my dietary restrictions. Even the dessert, brownies, was egg-free!
Last but not least, the staff were very helpful and polite throughout the service, so feel free to ask them any queries regarding the menu!

One of the better places to have Indian food! The space is large, so you can always get a table, and the service is quick and very good.
We went twice in 2 weeks and had some kebabs, naan, and dal. Everything was very good! Especially the galouti (the roti was crisp for some reason, but still tasty) and the chicken malai kebab. Loved these two.
We moved indoors on a Saturday night to enjoy the music. It was crowded, but fun!
Additionally, we tried the unlimited pani puri brunch on two Sundays, and it's a good deal. (It was a little confusing, though; we had to ask again for clarification.) We also tried the papdi chaat, kheema pav, and amritsari chole kulche. Everything was delicious! Service was a little slow, but overall it was a good experience, and we will be back!

We came in a big group and went all-in with the food. We ordered the Non-Veg Platter and Veg Platter (Full portions) to start, and both were impressive in variety and portion size—perfect for sharing. The Mutton Biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with tender pieces of mutton cooked just right. The Butter Chicken and Patiala Chicken were rich, creamy, and packed with spices—definite crowd-pleasers. The Garlic Naan (yes, all eight of them!) were soft and buttery, ideal for scooping up the curries.
We also tried the Mixed Veg Do Pyaza, Peanut Masala, Masala Papad, and the standout Surkh Laal Chicken, which had a beautiful color and bold flavor. Samba's Samosa was a fun twist—crispy, tasty, and served hot.
To wash it all down, we ordered lime juice, fresh lime soda, still water, and the highlight—a tower of beer that kept the conversation flowing and spirits high.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout, even though the place was buzzing. Food came out on time, and the staff were helpful in suggesting dishes. The bill leaned toward the premium side, but it felt justified considering the quality, quantity, and prime Clarke Quay location.

1. The outdoor seating area by the river is elegant and spacious, with enough room to comfortably host large groups.
2. We ordered Paneer Tiranga, rice, naan, mixed vegetables, and daal. Every dish was freshly prepared, tasted good, and the portions were generous.
3. The staff was polite, attentive, and friendly.
