The fried fish with vegetables was good. The other dishes we ordered were just passable. The cocktails were watery, though there was a discount on them. Location was good by the riverside. I don't think I will return.

I wonder how many diners agree that there is nothing worse than biting into sand in their food?
Last night, while dining at Little Saigon, I ordered "Pho Xao/ Bun Xao (Seafood)," a stir-fry noodle/vermicelli dish that contained clams. After I bit into sand a second time, we decided to inform the staff. Her explanation was that the sand was inside the clams and they could not wash them out completely.
She was not surprised by our feedback; she was aware that it is a norm here. I was short of retorting, 'Would you eat them yourself?'
If the kitchen is not competent in washing and preparing the clams for cooking, they should exclude clams as an ingredient. It is basic culinary knowledge that one should wash out the sand in clams before cooking. There are other seafood options to use instead, aren't there?
Eating food with sand really spoiled my appetite. I love clams and have had clam dishes from zichar stalls to restaurants. But it is the first eating place that told me it is normal to accept clams with sand.
I was deliberating between a 2* or 3* rating because the other dishes we had were quite nice for a first visit here, but I won't come back again since the sandy clams made me doubt their kitchen competence and food safety. So, yeah, 2* for the kitchen and the staff's reply.

The food was very disappointing. It was very bland and not spicy at all, lacking the subtle spicy flavours of real Vietnamese food. Mostly deep-fried stuff. Our stir-fried vegetables were mushy and limp from being way overcooked and had no flavour. Would not recommend for the food.

Forgot to take a photo of the chicken skewers. They were small. Considering the price you’re paying, all of the dishes were small. That would be no issue if they were very tasty, but they are average or tasteless. The prices listed are not the final prices. They do not tell you that GST is not included. You are surprised when you get the bill. A coke cost $7.50, when others charge $1.50-$4.50. Find cheaper options.

Overpriced drinks and food. Food tasted cheap and greasy and not remotely authentic Vietnamese. Waiters got our order mixed up with other tables multiple times, and I had a pretty unpleasant encounter when asking about toilets. Food took ages to come out, and we were waiting up to 40 minutes between dishes. The girl serving us was pretty nice though. Would not recommend.

The atmosphere is pretty fun, lively enough to enjoy a night out. They don't allow outside food, yet every time I tried to order from their menu, they were out of everything. This was quite annoying. Also, a female staff member had a bit of an attitude when she realized I was Vietnamese, which was ironic given the place is called Little Saigon (Vietnam). This created a very strange vibe. The beer's fine, but honestly, the experience could've been better.

The service was really good, and so were the food and vibe of the place. Had the beef pho and pork intestine appetizer, and both were superb.
I had two cocktails, as there was a 50% happy hour for Asian cocktails, and both I had were really good.
I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. My friend and I were even lucky enough to catch the NDP fireworks around 7-8 p.m.
Come here next Friday, 9th August, for dinner. Sit outdoors from 6 p.m., and around 7-8 p.m. you will be able to hear the fighter jets and see fireworks!

If you enjoy live bands while dining and having a good time with friends, this is one place to consider in CQ.
I have reservations about whether the young crowd would appreciate this bar, its music in particular, as from what we observed while there, they don't seem to attract a young demographic.
We chose to dine next door as we had a toddler in tow, but Little Saigon's music was loud enough to carry across three bars in a row on this end of Clark Quay. We saw their guests having a good time too.

I’m here every week, and the food and drinks are so good! Love the entertainment here too! The live bands here sound great! My favourite dishes are the pork dishes, especially the intestines!
Update: I tried the banh mi, and it was so good! Got the meatball one. The bread was warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The meat was so soft, tender, and tasty!
Update: I tried the beef banh mi, and it was delicious! I still prefer the pork one, though the beef was very tasty. The pork one has more sauce, so it makes it less dry. The beef one isn’t dry; it’s just drier than the pork meatball one. Will try the fish next time I’m there!

We discovered this place during an unintended visit to Clarke Quay for supper in October 2023. My friends and I were hungry and ended up at this place. One of my friends had ordered the wrong item due to her misunderstanding the menu. However, when we spoke to the manager-in-charge, she readily agreed it was okay and exchanged the item for what we wanted. This was really impressive! Due to this kind gesture, we have been patronising this restaurant ever since.
Two distinct live bands perform on various days at this restaurant, with shows starting nightly at 8:45 PM. We enjoy their music very much, though they both have different styles.
The full-time staff are very hardworking and friendly.
I recommend visiting Little Saigon to try their various Vietnamese dishes, their drinks, and the music.
